This is the perfect CD for background sound, or even to fall asleep to.
We are riding on a caboose, bringing up the rear of a branchline freight train. As we roll along over jointed rail, crossing bells clang past and the sound of the whistle and the engine’s exhaust drift back from the front of the train. Close your eyes and remember the railroads of days gone by.
This CD was edited to produce a constant sound level throughout; no sudden loud whistles or noises to wake you up if you happen to fall asleep listening to it. It is also edited to seamlessly play if your CD player is set for continuous playback.
These sounds were recorded on the Little River Railroad in Coldwater, Michigan, in 2012. We rented the caboose used to make these recordings in order to be able to control all aspects of the recording environment.
