This CD features the sounds of the only compound articulated in operation in the United States in 2010.
This sequel to Sounds of The Black Hills Central comes from a visit to the railroad in August, 2010. We were shooting 2-6-6-2T #110 working the 4 percent grades of the line between Hill City and Keystone for the video “Mallet In The Mountains.” #110 put on an impressive display of stack talk on the grades, and also provided plenty of whistling on her Nathan 5 Chime whistle.
This CD features trackside, in cab, on board, and pacing sequences.
